Sincerely

Found a note
Taped on my locker
Inside this is what it wrote;
“To the kindest girl ever,

I’m no stalker
But I see you daily
At times I wonder
Do you see me?

I’m not geeky or popular
Nor am I a loser
I’m just plain ordinary
Sorry, not a genius either

You were always first
To be there to lend a hand
I’m touched by your kindness
And awed by your friendliness

I’m too shy to talk
I’m too proud to flee
So I’ll come clean and say
“I like you, sincerely”

As cheesy as it sounds
I want you to know
I’m thoroughly sincere
My words aren’t for show

I don’t ask for much
A simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’ will do
Just answer with a sincere heart
That’s all I ask of you

Sincerely,
M.E.”

I stared at it
Lost for words
A shy coughing fit
Or so I heard

I turn around
To see him looking at me
Anticipation in his eyes
Regarded me clearly

“You were never ordinary”

I said, smiling at him
He looked at the note
I simply beamed
Then he grinned and gloats,

“I’m too noticeable to pass by?”

I pecked him
As lovingly as I felt
He kissed me
So sincerely that I melt

Truly, this could only mean love right?
