Zen Blade

A girl with two faces

Alas, the poor soul that dwells within her walls of rock and ice,

who gleams into peoples souls, when she herself has none.

Pity the ravaged mind, sitting in its ivory skull adorned with arrogance, greed, and power.

Woe to her heart: misguided, broken, abandoned-

for it has been dealt the cards of trickery and deceit.

To bestow upon her society unyielding commands and an iron grip….

while another half wishes to be held and nurtured.

To feel the welcome arms of another’s unconditional kindness.

A coin with two faces, but only one girls heart to command them;

with only half of her soul in the sunlight...

...the other is left sulking in the shadow.
