Prologue

I lay in my bed watching the orange curtains sway in the wind emitting from my open window. The air gives some form of comfort, so simple in this world of chaos and confusion.

I sit up in my bed and walk to the closet to click off the light that my precious little brother holds so dear. I never have understood his senseless fear of the dark. In truth, I find it soothing. In the dark, no one can see me. In the dark, I am invincible.
