A/n: AUGH! FINALY! I've had this chapter done for a while and have been typing it up little by little.

I've got exams coming up so I thought "I MIGHT NOT GET ANOTHER CHANCE! GOTTA UPDATE!"

this isn't even that popular but I'm updating because sometimes it's nice to write something that isn't a fanfic or for school.

Anyway, I apologize for the writes block!

Enjoy!

Fridays were a day of winding down for most students, this particular Friday happened to be the last day of the young sub who had been taking the place of the school councilor and, consequentially, the last session Jeremy would have with her.

Jeremy for the most part just sat there as the councilor, who had asked him to call her by her first name rather that the much more comfortable Miss Jones, tidied away her things.

After his first, ever so awkward, session things had been relatively easy; talking about favorite and least favorite classes, goals for the future and that BS.

As she went through a cardboard box he decided to ask her a question.

“Hey can I look at my file?”

“Well I don’t know, I’m pretty sure that that would be going against my code of conduct…”

She then held out her hand and, sighing, Jeremy placed five dollars in it; money was her only weakness as far as anyone could tell, money and cats.

Silently she slid his school file over to him in a way reminiscent to a movie drama on tv.

It wasn’t until he got to one particular observation that she had written about him that he became alarmed.

“‘Shows signs of possible attraction towards closest friend’!? What! I do not have a crush on Tommy!”

Mrs Jones looked up from her box “Ah, so the mystery friend has a name.” she smiled at him; knowing but not condescending.

“Why would you write that?” He demanded becoming panicky.

“Well,” She sat down in her cushioned chair, students getting stuck with plastic. “You talk pretty constantly about him if we aren’t on the topic of school or family.”

“Yeah, but he’s not all I-”

“It’s always what you did with him or what you’re going to do, you went for then minutes on his favorite music! It’s kind of sweet really.”

Jeremy spluttered, bright red, at the suggestion of him being ‘sweet’; he was not a girl!

“I-I-I don’t understand how you possibly could-“

He paused, taking deliberate slow breaths to calm himself before speaking again.

“How much?”

She stared at him “Hmm?”

Jeremy pulled out his wallet.

“How much for you to take it off my school file.”

She looked thoughtful for a moment.

“Well it’s not like you’ve done anything wrong, I just made an assumption based on your behaviour.”

She understood he didn’t the regular councilor knowing and so held out her hand.

“I was saving for a game I wanted to bet this weekend…”

He pulled out several notes from his wallet causing the councilors eyes to widen.

“That- That is quite a bit…” she slowly took the money from him “I suppose it isn’t a necessary piece of information for your school file.” She coughed slightly “But I have my own documents that need it, but it’s nothing to worry about” she hurried on at his panicked look “It’s such a small detail that no one is likely to notice anyway, you being such a good student and all, no one will look at your file any more than a glance at your grades.”

Jeremy slumped back in his chair “As long as no one I know reads it I guess.”

Suddenly remembering something Mrs. Jones quickly scribbled something down on the back of a small card on her desk.

“My number. If you need to talk just give me a ring, no charge.”

She let out a sigh “I’m really not supposed to do this…”

Jeremy shoved the card in his pocket, resolving to forget about it as he thanked her and rushed out at the bell.

That night he added the number to his phone book.

After that incident he didn’t have much time to go over his thoughts as Asher had managed to catch Jeremy on his attempted mad dash home.

Asher asked if he come over for some help with homework on Saturday and Jeremy, unable to think of an excuse, agreed.

The reason he had agreed despite his need to mull over the whole ‘possible attraction’ thing was that while they both shared an enhanced maths class, to the disbelief of those who knew Asher, Jeremy needed help with comprehension and Asher with focus and consistency.

So the next day Asher came over to Jeremy’s house and they got their work done and out of the way in just under two hours.

Jeremy then went of to grab them some snacks, leaving Asher to wait in his room.

This turned out to be a bad decision.

Jeremy returned to find Asher sitting on the floor with a box he had dragged out from under the bed.

“What are you doing with my stuff!?”

Asher just grinned up at him “I was just looking for, uh, magazines. But seriously; musicals?”

With one hand he pulled out a well worn copy of the king and I from the box and with the other Annie.

Jeremy tried to snatch them back from Asher but he held them out of his grasp laughing.

“They’re my sister’s.”

Asher scoffed “In a box under your bed?”

“I-I’m trying to get her back… foooor” he wracked his brain for a reason “breaking my favourite… cd?”

Asher shook his head “You make it way too easy you know.”

“What, breaking my cds?”

“No; teasing you, I mean, I don’t really mean any of it but your action make you really easy to fuck with.” Asher pushed the box back under the bed “Especialy when you’re with Tommy, cause the way you two act together” he laughed here “I’d swear it’s like one of you has a crush on the other!”

Jeremy paled and said “Not you too!” before realising what he just let slip and whacking himself on the forehead with the nearest thing he could reach, thankfully; a pillow.

“What do you mean ‘you too’? Does someone else think so? Who?”

Unfortunately for Jeremy; once Asher caught onto something like this he didn’t tend to let it go.

He plopped himself down on the bed before answering “It was that substitute councillor, but her reason for it wasn’t that good…” Asher motioned for him to continue “It was just that I talked about him a lot, but- that’s nothing, right?”

Asher slowly pried the chips Jeremy had brought for them out of his tight grip.

“She thinks you like TOMMY? Oh wow! Haha!”

“God, I know!”

“Well that makes some things clear.”

“WHAT!?”

Jeremy let out an exasperated noise and began pacing his room, Asher following his movements with his eyes like a game of ping pong from his spot on the floor next to Jeremy’s bed.
“Oh come on, he’s pretty much all you talk about, you’re always getting him stuff,; remember that time you got him all those cd’s?”

Jeremy turned to stare at him as the chips bag was opened and Asher took a few bites of the chips

“He liked that band.”

“Ah- but you got him ALL their albums! You even get all happy at just his name, I surprised I never really noticed before actually…”

“I do not!” Jeremy ran a nervous hand through his hair.

Asher munched on another chip. “Tommy.”

Jeremy Smiled and looked away before realising what he was doing and gesturing angrily at Asher who just looked up at him calmly with that stupid amused look on his face. “You see!”

“That proved nothing!”

Asher raised an eyebrow at him.

“Well… Okay- so- maybe it does, but- Nnnn! This can’t be happening! I mean, I LIKE him but, fuck! He’s my friend- I can’t-” He bit his lip in frustration and began to point at Asher.

“Why do I have to be gay, huh? Why can’t you be gay?”

Asher looked honestly taken aback by that. “Becaaauuuse… I like boobs?”

Jeremy stared at him for a moment before wandering back over to the bed and flopping down next to him with an anguished sigh.

Asher offered him the bag of chips and he gladly accepted, if only to have something to so with his hands.

“So… what does this mean?” he asked after a long silence broken by the sounds of several chips being devoured by two teens.

“It probably means you love him.”

Jeremy rolled on his side. “What would you know about love; you’ll get with any girl you think is hot.”

Asher shrugged, knowing that that was Jeremy’s anger talking. “That doesn’t mean I love all of them, I like them, sure, but it seems like what you’ve got going is more than just ‘I like you; let’s do this!’”

Jeremy stared at the wall for a bit before he spoke again.

“… Well you’re still a man-whore.”

“Homo.”

Jeremy sat up “I am not!”

“Well to be fair,” He scrunched the now empty chip packet into a ball and made a half arsed attempt to get it in the bin. “Tommy’s not either, at the most he’s bi. But you, my friend, are TOMMY-SEXUAL.”

You could practically hear the sparkles dripping from those words.

Jeremy covered his face with both hands in an attempt to suppress any hysterics. “Oh. My. GOD. Asher, would you just-”

Asher grinned up at him. “Aww! Are you EMBARRASSED?”

Jeremy smacked him with his pillow. “Get out you dick!”

Asher laughed on his way to the door. “See you on Monday you lovesick idiot!”

It took Jeremy’s flustered brain a few seconds to process what Asher had just said.

Monday.

School.

Tommy goes to his school!

Shit, fuck and other explicitives.

Sorry for the swearing if you're offended by it but, for gods sake, the kid's having a friggin sexuality confusion party! I think some bad language is to be expected!
