Vampires

Deep darkness descends

Upon the tiring world of men

As we wake, a thousand moons

Opening and blotting the night sky.

As one we creep across

The horizons of each scene,

Searching silently for our sleeping prey.

Hearts beat quicker and heavier,

Hastening our step.

Stalkers you may wish to call us, do,

We have no fear of the truth,

Our thirst boils up inside us-

We yearn for you warmth, your flesh, your blood.

Shut your eyes,

My sweet-dying lover

And prepare to know Death’s cold caress

Mingling with the frozen touch of my lips.

Goodbye,

Farewell.
