The daffodils bloom, perennial

The birds twitter high above

And somewhere, inward,

Music sounds, mournful

Amongst softly muted grief,

But, only the subtle sighs,

Of sentimental wind, are there

Dancing silkily through the air:

As flowers grow in the garden
