Liz is standing outside of the school. She's watching the cheerleaders practice. She waves to a couple of them. Liz pushes her fingers through her stringy hair. A hand taps her on the back from behind. It's Danny Vatone.
"Taking Jasons death pretty hard too huh?"
Liz looks at him a little startled.
"No, well I mean, his death was hard, but I'm not that upset."
"Oh? What's with the depressed face?"
Liz shakes her head.
"I don't think I want to answer questions for the press."
Danny laughs.
"It's completely off the record."
"I wish I could believe that. Remember last time we talked 'off the record?'"
Danny laughs again.
"That story was too good to give up, but seriously, you got something on your mind?"
"Yeah."
"Want to talk about it? I mean, it could help to talk to someone."
Liz looks him in the face.
"Look Danny, If I wanted to talk, I would have."
Danny is a little taken back by this. Liz had raised her voice. She doesn't usually do that. Even the cheerleaders from a far distance heard her. Liz says something in a whisper...
"I am depressed about a death, but it's not Jason Jeltone."
Danny looks shocked.
"Izzie? You're sad that Izzie Weston is dead? To the school he's a murderer, I mean I don't believe he murdered anyone...but..."
"You don't believe that Izzie is the killer?"
Danny shakes his head.
"No, I'm sure. Miss Wells is behind it. She was the witness that came forward. Were you friends with Izzie?"
"We were dating, secretly, I didn't want to be seen with him, he's kind of a nerd. I knew Izzie though, he wouldn't ever point a gun, he doesn't even know how to shoot a gun. Off the record."
Danny shakes his head.
"Of course."
