Some brooding thoughts that popped into focus while beginning to read one of my long time FPC friend's, HiddenFlame42, poems. Subsequently, I dedicate this to her and all my friends. I hope that it inspires you or makes you think, and that you enjoy it.

Drink
A fountain lies unseen below the colors
Welling up from the spirit deep waters flow
Sometimes pouring out in a roaring cascade
Sometimes a mere trickle, a whisper of water upon the tongue
They are always there
Even when the world turns to dust
And we grasp at clouds with cracking hands
And all that can be tasted is ash
Behold
The ocean of Heaven washes up just past the mind's eye
Sands of truth lay bathed in starlight
All that is
Humanity's footprints a simple, short path behind us
We haven't even reached the shore yet
Yet here we stand
Gazing out over the stars
We murmur softly to ourselves
"I wonder what it all means?"
