Broken promises line my heart...
I should've had you figured from the start...
You are the one who made our line of friendship rigid...
You'll have me as a friend...
Just a lil upside down and a tad bit twisted...

I block you out because I don't want you to see...
I hate your view that transcends past me...
Envious of you for being a better she for he...
I hate the feeling to actually need...
I hate the way we leave feelings unlisted...
The only one who has me upside down but not twisted...

I let you in to spare my heart…
How was I to know you would tear it apart?
Stomp it, smash it, slash it, and rip it…
Leaving me…of course…
Upside down and twisted…

I watch you spend your time in wishes,
Reminiscing the times that she undoubtedly misses…
Pondering what ifs,
I’m always here to listen…
You assure me that I’m not the only one…
Who’s upside down and twisted…

An awkward feeling without doubt,
My soul was covered by a myriad of clouds,
Spirit all time low...and I knew you’d lift it...
At least God still has my heart…
Even if it’s upside down and twisted...

A new escape I think I’m addicted,
Pain reducing vials of crystal clear liquid,
Stinging sensations from the pierce of syringes…
I think by now we all know what the gist is...
Everything has got me upside down and oh so twisted...
