"You came back"

I looked at this man. No, he wasn't who I loved. He was a liar-a liar who believed I was stupid and weak.

This man was not a person I knew. He is a stranger and he thought he could keep me chained to the wall.

He pales when he sees me, my eyes filled with hate so strong I had problems seeing him. My son gasps and runs as I walk towards the man. I could hear my son whining in fear as he ran, and I paid no heed to him.

I remember lyrics from a song and I say them out loud to him.

"I'm gonna make you bend and break.

Say your prayers and let the good times roll.

In case God doesn't show.

And I want these words to make things right.

It’s the wrongs that make words come to life."

He watches me and backs up as I walk closer.

"Who does she think he is?" I say and growl as I keep my eyes latched onto his.

"If that's the worst you got,

Put your fingers back to the keys!" I stop myself and smirk at the man frozen to the spot.

"One night and one more time," I state, my eyes angry at this man for leaving me. He left me with child and chained to a wall for three years. In a deadly tone I say this.

"Thanks for the memories,

Thanks for the memories,

Even if they weren't so great…"

My son who is three trembles at I slowly walk closer to the man. I had chains, unbelievably heavy on me and they were breaking off.

"He tastes like you, only sweeter

And one more time..." I say and darkness envelops us both, my son’s cries all I hear as the man I had wanted to kill for so long took his last breath in that darkness. Even so, my breath was taken around the same time, except I died doing what was needed, and I sacrificed myself as the scapegoat to kill our enemy. I died with my head held high and with pride, as I welcomed the death I had always wanted…
