The End

I saw the sadness
In her eyes;
Saw the misery in her face.

Never said her goodbyes
But she looked to the skies
To put death in misery's place

I tried to tell her
Not to cry;
I would make everything okay.

Didn't want her to die
But my words passed her by
There was nothing more I could say

I ran to stop her,
Ran in vain,
As she walked into the street.

Found no point in her pain
Simply couldn't abstain
She made her decision complete.

I felt myself fall,
Defeated;
She lay there so silently.

We once were connected
But that was rejected
When her end was met violently.
