Pouring Crimson
The edge finds its way into my heart-
Clawing and worming and twisting its way in.
Great seas of scarlet pour out,
And I become the pain.
“Give yourself to me,” it says,
“Give yourself to me, as have others before you.”
Swerving and arching, it leaves a crimson trail in its wake:
Leaving me in agony’s embrace.
