Eternity is winding down

In the chill of dawn

The world is spinning slower

As all watch with faces drawn

They said the world could never end

But as you see they're wrong

I screamed, but no one listened

For I knew it all along.

Beware, beware, the frosty air

The cold persuades all still

Icy glimmer quickly enchants

Distracts, striking to kill

A kind man stops to help me

In his carriage painted black

And skeletons of horses breathe

They'll bring the whole world back

And so I take the kind man's hand

But it crumbles all to dust

I ride away; the warning's gone

And all that's left is rust.

Sole speaker of humanity

Now eternal gone

The world left continues barbaric ways

And eternity spins on.
