The finding of a Hope

There is a finding

a foundling found

somewhere beyond the mist,

the shroud, the veil

where imagination reigns

and horror is a strange tale

of faraway lands,

of children with blank eyes

and stomachs so small they’re bloated.

The finding of a foundling found

is both baffling and beautiful

because it is the finding

of a foundling hope,

of a dream dreamt, discarded & discovered,

of a faraway land made fathomable

with laughter and cheers.

There is a finding,

a someone, somewhere, some place

in some land with some distant thought

waiting, waiting

waiting to be found.
