we were laying next to eachother,
every inch of me
as close as possible
to every inch of you and
every breath i took was a sigh
letting out all the excess
rush
of love and emotion
that was bouncing around and under my skin.

we were beautiful and
it was a forever feeling:
i convinced myself.

then one day
it falls apart
and all i can see
is me laying next to you
and all i can feel
is the empty place
where you've always belonged

that empty place is still there
but now i can't
even remember
how it felt when that place was
full.

love is a forever thing
but the human mind can't hold on to
memories
forever.
