
Recently, I had the privilage of listening to the story of a Holocaust survivor. That man had been through so much... I had to write this poem, in honor of those who went through Hell so that we might live...

Reverence
Don't ever forget
What your ancestors did –
They suffered for you
So that you might live.
Remember the dead
And the stories they tell –
Their anguish and hope
And stories are true.
For if you forget,
It may happen again –
You might as well ask
To forget yourself.
