Nothing is what it seems

I look happy but deep down?

I feel sad because something is missing

I know – the old me

I never wanted to be someone else

What went wrong?

Did I take the wrong path in life?

I just want to go back

Could it be made all better?

I want to be the best I can

But I can’t, not if I’m not me

I lost the way

I lost it all

Even my best friend

She was the only one

The only one that knew me

I guess it’s too late
