Chapter 1: After the first meeting

A boy named Kohaku is taken to a rock concert by Miyuki, a high school girl who is fifteen, which isn't that big of a deal fo Kohaku since he's thirteen. Miyuki, and Kohaku had been friends for only three years, and yet they didn't mind the rumors that they were dating, because they knew that they weren't in love with each other, just good friends. Or so they said. The intament passion between Kohaku, and Miyuki wasn't seen by their eyes, and perhaps was hidden by their hearts. But it was about to be decided once Miyuki escorted Kohaku to a rock concert, premiering a band known as Demonic Redemption. A band of teenagers who were rumored to not be human, which would suggest the band's name. It had been said that once the fans would leave a concert, they would feel full on energy, and inspired to do things of which they never dared to do. So Miyuki wanted to see if she really was in love with her thirteen year old friend, and thought this might help. Once they arrived with the tickets Miyuki purchased four weeks ago, they headed to the convention center in the center of town, and stood in the crowd, as the concert began. The vocalist was a young girl about Miyuki's age with pink hair, orange eyes, a short, red vest, that only covered her chest, a white t-shirt, and black shorts with yellow boots. The guitarist had purple spiky hair, a black leather, sleeveless jacket, and pants, as well as boots. The Drummer had purple wavy hair, and wore a black shirt with a skull on the front. The Dj had long spiky hair, blue eyes, and wore a leather jacket, and a spiked collar around his neck.

Kallie( Demonic Redemption's vocalist): Hello all you people out there!

Sabel( Demonic Redemption's guitarist): Are you ready to rock!

(Crowd cheers in excitement, as Kohaku looks on in awe.)

The first song that the band plays is titled "Dancing With The Dead" A song with a driving six-beat rhythm, as Sabel starts off with a growl, and receipts these lyrics with a Death Metal Growl:

It is man's desire to want to aim higher

You turn on to darkness, and boom you're on fire!

You must regain control, or else you'll lose your soul.

And then lose your head, and will be dancing with the dead.

Salvation is the key to prosperity, and at last happiness is what you'll see.

Without you have no control, and you will lose your soul,

and as we said, you'll be dancing with the dead!

Chorus:

(Life here after is a real party!)

(Forever seeking immortality!)

As crowd cheered, and the song continued, Kohaku began to get a chilling feeling from within his soul. Almost, as if the song had spoke to him somehow. Which Miyuki explained is how most Goths, and Emos feel whenever they listen to Heavy Metal. Was he converting? Or was it merely a feeling he had all along, or was it something different? He couldn't tell. The next song was sung by Kallie the band's lead vocalist, titled "What do you call Love?" Kallie then closed her eyes, and started to sing to a melody that started out slow then the rhythm picked up to five beats, as Kallie sung these lyrics:

I gave you my heart which was torn to shreds

You left me alone, and assumed to be dead.

I once had thoughts of our possibilities.

Is this your love? This pain that you gave to me?

You had no real passion from the start.

I realized that once you broke my heart

I lay alone, and start to cry.

Forsaken by you, I wish only to die.

Chorus: What do you call love?

(It's lust!)

(This broken trust.)

As Kohaku listened to these lyrics, he felt a strange sensation weld up inside of him. A sense of happiness that overpowered the sadness he also felt. Kohaku then turned his attention to Miyuki then, then looked up, as little gleams of light fell from the ceiling. What are those things? Kohaku wondered, as he then looked to his right, and saw the gleams of light entering the bodies of those around him. Kohaku then looks down at his hands, and saw the gleams of light becoming a part of him too.

Kohaku: (Thinking to himself): I had heard that people feel alot better after leaving a Demonic Redemption concert. Is this how it's done? Kohaku then looked up, and stared into the vocalist's eyes, as he started to blush, from meeting her gaze.

Once the concert ended, Miyuki was skipping, as she exited the theatre, as Kohaku slowly followed, with his mind focused on meeting the singer's gaze.

Miyuki:( Looking back at Kohaku) Are you okay?

Kohaku:( Looks up at Miyuki, and nods.) I'm fine.

Miyuki: So what diid you enjoy the concert?

Kohaku nods, as he walks closely behind Miyuki, and nudges against her back. Miyuki then looks back at Kohaku, as he look he raises his head and blushes.

Miyuki: (kneeling down, and looking into Kohaku's eyes, and runs her finger across his face.) Oh Kohaku, you're blushing. I guess what they said about the after effect of the concerts is true.

Miyuki giggles, as Kohaku wraps her in his arms, and she looks back at him while blushing.

Kohaku: Well in truth, I believe I have had a crush on you, since you were so nice to me, and I feel that I might fall in love with you.

Miyuki: (blushing) Oh Kohaku. I never knew you actually felt that way about me. To tell you the truth, the feeling's mutual.

Kohaku and Miyuki then prepare to kiss, as their lips inch closer to each other, and the moment is interrupted by a crash that tossed Miyuki, and Kohaku into the air. Once the smoke clears, and Kohaku sits up, he stares at a beast that is eight feet tall, covered in scales, and has a long tail.

Reptilian beast: ( glaring at Kohaku) You. You're the one of which we are seeking.

Kohaku: (Quivering) W-we?

Reptilian beast: That's right, we seek to use your power for a grand purpose.

Five more creature resembling the first appear around Kohaku, and the unconscious Miyuki. And just as the charge towards Kohaku, he shrieks and clutches Miyuki, as a barrier surrounds them both. The reptilian beasts are then shoved back, as they then snarl, and bear their claws.

Kohaku: (Thinking) What was that? What did I just do?

The reptilian beast then charge towards Kohaku when a pink haired comes out of nowhere, and whacks one of the beasts in the back of the head with her electric bass. The girl then strands in the center of the circle of beasts, and swings her bass in a three-sixty rotation, as they charge towards her. The girl then looks behind herself, as she sees Kohaku sailing away from her, and hits the ground.

Pink haired-girl: Oops. Sorry about that.

One of the reptilian creatures charges toward the young girl from behind, before it is knocked away by a kick to the face from a boy with spiky hair, a black leather vest, pants and gray skin.

Spiky haired boy: (Turning his attention to the pink-haired girl.) Oops, Kallie you just whacked the wrong guy!

Kallie: I know that Sabel. I just got distracted!

Sabel: (folds his arms.) Sure, whatever. Hey Darmis you get to revive the young mortal, lass!

An orb of light appears, and knocks the reptilian beasts into the air, as a boy with wavy purple hair appears.

Darmis:( Steps forward) Must I be the one to revive her?

Sabel: Yes. You're qualified to do so?

Darmis: Is it because of my looks, or the fact that I'm an incubus.

Sabel: (Chuckles) Both.

Darmis: (sighs) fine.

Darmis then walks over to Miyuki, as three of the reptilian creatures intercept him. The beast in the middle throws out a right jab, as Darmis ducks then cleaves off the arm, as he stands up. Darmis then holds out his sword, as shreds the charging beasts to ribbons, before continuing his advancement towards Miyuki. Darmis then kneels down over Miyuki, and kisses her, as a purple aura surrounds their bodies. Miyuki then awakens, and blushes when she sees Darmis hovering over her.

Darmis: Ah, I see your awake.

Miyuki:( Thinking, while she blushes) Am I dreaming or was I just kissed by Demonic Redemption's drummer?

Darmis: Sits up, and looks at Miyuki with a smile Hi, I'm Darmis, and you are?

Miyuki: Looks at Darmis, still red in the face M-Miyuki.

Darmis: Nice to meet you, Miyuki, and rest assured, I only want to-.

Sabel: Look out below!

Darmis then turns about to see a demon falling towards him, and impales it with a blade that appears from his wrist. Darmis then lowered his arm then flung the demon aside.

Darmis: Now then. Let's help Kallie.

Darmis then walks over to the demons surrounding Kallie, as she holds Kohaku in her right hand, and her bass in her left.

Kallie: Alright you freaks. You want this kid? Come and claim him!

The demons then charge towards Kallie, as she fends them off by spinning her bass by its strap. Kallie then leaped into the air, as the demons follow her. Bat like wings then appeared from Kallie's back, as she tossed Kohaku to Bon, as she raised her bass above her head, and charged toward her pursuers. Kallie then swung her bass, and sliced the demons in half. Once Kallie landed, the wings retracted into her back, as she walked over to the d.j. of the band. Kallie: Alright Bon, place him on the ground.

Bon then placed Kohaku on the ground, as Kallie placed her ear on his chest, and heard a slow heard beat, Miyuki approached her.

Miyuki hands placed on her chest Is he okay? Kalllie: Oh no! He's almost gone! Sabel: Well no wonder, you whacked him pretty hard...

Kallie: No matter, I know CPR!

Kallie then pressed her hands against Kohaku's chest four times, and then knelt down, and pressed her lips against his.

Sabel: Standing next to Bon I'm not a CPR expert, but that looks more like a kiss.

Bon: It is...

Bon's reply causes Miyuki's heart to sink, and her inner self to crack, and shatter like glass.

As Kohaku comes to, his eyes bulge, as he sees Kallie locking her lips with his. Kohaku then pushes Kallie off of him, and backs away.

Kohaku: What was that for?

Kallie: standing up, and smiling. Oh c'mon... It was just CPR.

Sabel : Walking over to Kohaku. More importantly... I wonder why those demons were after this runt?

Darmis: appears before Kohaku, and lifts up his shirt, and reveals a glowing symbol on his chest. It's because of this seal.

Kohaku: Whadda ya mean?

Darmis: You have a great, and terrible demonic power residing inside your soul, and this seal keeps it in check.

Kohaku: WHAT? I'M POSSESSED?!

Darmis: Lowering Kohaku's shirt. No, you're not possessed... Pay attention kid, someone sealed their powers within you.

Kohaku: Wh-what?

Kallie: Yes, and I know that someone rather well.

Kohaku: Really? Then who is it?

Kallie: A sorcerer named Sarocant. He did battle with my mother, but before sealing his powers within a mortal woman's womb.

Kohaku: My mother's womb?!

Bon: Yep, and it seems that you may have inherited those powers.

Kohaku: That's great, well I have to go home. Thanks for saving us from those monsters.

Chapter: Chaotic Hospital Visits, And A Harsh Truth

So Miyuki, and Kohaku walk home together, until parting ways once they reach the suburbs. Then when Kohaku reaches his house, and walks inside. His eyes widen to a big surprise. All the members of Demonic Redemption sitting at the dinner table with his parents.

Kohaku: What are you doing here?

Dogishi: What's the matter Kohaku?

Kohaku: points at Kallie, and her band-mates. I know those four people sitting there. They're a rock band known as "Demonic Redemption!"

Saiyuki: Oh dear, didn't these children say something about being a rock band.

Dogishi: Why I believe they did. Interesting how we'll be having celebrities spend a few days at our house.

Kohaku: A few days? How long is that?

Bon: A week at best. We just want to learn about your part of town is all.

Kohaku: What for?

Sabel: Just want to meet some fans personally, of course.

But apparently Kohaku was still skeptical about the motives of the band, and after dinner invited them to sleep in his room so that he could learn the truth.

Kohaku: Alright, I want the truth. What are you, and why did you really come to stay at my place for a few days?

Kallie: Strokes the strings on her bass. Well the truth is, we're demons. And we just caught wind of demons seeking the inheritant of Sarocant's powers.

Kohaku: So you're with the lizard demons that attacked me, and Miyuki earlier today? Wait, what

am I saying?

Darmis: Okay, we need to get a few things straight. One: We're not out to get you, we want to protect you because

Kallie knows the person who's after you. And second, if you're going to deny the existence of demons...wings sprout from back

I wouldn't advse it.

Kohaku: So you really are demons?

Darmis: Of course we are, these wings aren't fake you know.

Bon: Of course we have to be discreet about it, because we've been attacked due to the rumors.

Kohaku: Really? Why?

Kallie: Because people think that because we're demons, we suck out the souls of our fans... So they try to "end our thieving of human souls."

Kohaku: So what did you do to them?

Sabel: We killed them of course. And don't get bent out of shape, they left left us with no choice, but to do so.
