paris's reminscing

the rain clings to the window,

my eyes are searching for the atonement of your actions,

the moments when your eyes will find mine,

and the fault will melt away;

still love cannot blind your flaws,

and still I am angered by your unfaithfulness.

the day melted into night,

like the wet paints I’ve left to dry on your doorsteps

was the blood that I cried in rivet of tears;

the thick ashes that stuffed my mouth,

and burned my eyes, melted the image of your

through the irises into the retinas.

the fires your deceit, has turned this heart to black obsidian,

burnt the edges like a butterfly’s singed wing,

whilst your betrayal sent icy glares and breaths down my spine;

I tensed at the sound of your anger at my pain,

the lost of my passion the result of your bitterness

casting darkened shadows under my eyes—

and now they are here to stay, the only ring I’ll be buried with.

& now they’re here to stay.

Author's Notes: The following link that I am about to post here is the real version of the way I want this poem formatted, I just put the English version up here, because when you translate it back from French to English, the initinal meaning and intensity is lost.
