We hoped something would happen
When we went on that retreat
Dragon and Dirt were there
I would soon face defeat

The dance was fun and the pizza was bad
My heart was all a flutter
And when ever I caught you looking at me
My insides turned to butter

Drama Queen couldn’t take it
She wrote your friend a letter
I had no say in sending it
She thought it would make everything better

They read the note and laughed
And you just walked away
They made me sit in front of you
And they told me I had to stay

Your friend gave me a note
It was asking me out for you
But I could tell it was a joke
It only made me blue

Another note was given
It said all you wanted was me
I liked feeling and thought for a moment
And saw you never wanted me

I asked you if it was true
I called your friend a player
You only responded with a ‘maybe’
And a little of ‘talk to you later’

I know I should leave you alone
I’ve bothered you enough
But I really want to talk to you
Giving you up is gonna be tough
