Observation #1- Fate

They say that Fate sits on the telephone lines over the intersection of Church and Memorial. They say she sits there in the form of the silent, dark crows that watch the busy roads for her next victim.

Call it superstition, but I’ll swear to you that the birds block out the sun.

The rustling of their wings gliding against the grey morning sky, I’ve heard it blocks out all other noise.

Fate sits on the wires, and she deafens the victim of the blowing horn. She blacks out the stop light and any other warning signs.

If you’re after proof, check the video surveillance tapes; see that I’m not lying. If you watch the tapes, you’ll see that right before impact, the birds soar from the wire and over the street.

I promise you that this is the truth.

You’ll see that right after impact, they flutter back down, right where they were, silent and unmoving.
