A/N: In some death beliefs, they say that the dead cross a river to the after life, that's what I'm talking about when I refer to a bay and a river.

An Angel’s Farewell…

11/27/07

An angel came to my window today

She told me that she was okay

From all the things she’s been through;

She finally has a chance to start anew.

She said that all her troubles were gone-

But I couldn’t help but feel something wrong…

She said not to worry, she was watching over us

I felt a tear, but assured her ‘It was just dust.’

She hugged me and just said, “Cry if you must.”

She held me like that, all through the day

And she hugged me again, when we approached a bay

She said it was time that she had to go

But I could only whimper, “Please no.”

She said it was okay, she’d visit me soon

But she had mad a deal to leave at noon

As she crossed the river, her silhouette disappeared-

And I woke up with the thought of losing someone dear

Just then I though I heard an angel sigh;

But the night was gone,

She had said good-bye…

A/N: Hope you liked it, i thought it was creepy how 11/27 rhymed with heaven when i wrote this.
