And she look my face into her hands,
On that October Morning, a year ago twice fold -
The tears running over the cheeks,
As they had for so many nights before,
And she told me gently,
"Boys only break your heart girl,
Look up, smile for me baby,
I'll show you a brand new world,
From the other side, just maybe."
And those months and days fade away,
On that first year with her, a half-year ago twice fold -
The bodies fit together in an embrace,
As those so many afternoon sessions before,
And she told me sweetly,
"Don't you like it here in my arms,
I make you feel safe from anything,
And you're cold - I'll keep you warm,
Don't you love it right here, darling?"
And the good times were stolen away,
That year ago, the dangers grew twice fold -
Tears making their way into blood,
As we cried on opposite fringes of existance,
And she told me gravely,
"No more hurt and no more red,
These are things that scars never fix,
We've got to hold hands, not spill and shed,
There's another way, We know tricks."
And she met a boy, and he lied and cheated,
That summer ago, the heartache grew twice fold -
Blood making it's way into scars,
As I died along on the opposite side of my heart,
And she told me ignorantly,
"I don't understand him, his mind,
Don't worry, I haven't forgotten you,
But honest, he's so amazing and kind,
He's calling in right now, adieu."
And he broke her fragile little heart,
That summer ago, when my voice failed twice fold -
Turing away from the girl I couldn't save,
As I ran back to my only demon, my only traitor,
And she told me crying,
"He's going out with another one,
I love him, why can't I understand,
How can he love, it's me who's shunned?
Just the other say he confessed to my hand."
And she listened for once - no longer deaf,
That fall ago, complications grew twice fold -
All of this had to stop mom claimed,
As I cried into her shoulders on a frostbitten day,
And she told me soothingly,
"Nothing she says matters love,
You know why - just think - 'cause one day,
You and me will be with flowers and doves,
We'll get married and run away."
And she held me, on that brilliant winter night,
That Christmas ago, the blaze rose twice fold -
Kisses strying from the lips, a ring on the finger,
As we laid curled almost complete in blanksts,
And she told me sweetly,
"Merry Chistmas baby, now sleep,
You've been bound to me, now and forever,
Close your eyes, I in your dreams keep,
Ours is a love eternal, nothing can sever."
This year I see her every morning,
These times that flowed, the bond grew twice fold -
Rings exchange fingers and vows - lips,
And she takes me into her embrace,
And she whispers to me a secret,
"Look to the stars, right a little, thus
Take this at a gentle speed,
No one could ever try break us
Because Love is all we Need."
