Angel’s Tale

((By my good friend Zak and I))

angels in the dust
they scream through shattered lungs
they cry in unshedable tears
but they let go
they forgive and forget
i can't forget though
i can fogive
but i can't forget

screaming and running
blood and rain
lust and the ultimate sedative
another worthless fuck
another useless lover
another broken heart

the black heart
the black heat
the black light
the bloody knife

another moonrise in red tonight

red as blood flowing beneath me
the angels still shriek
and still sob solely for their own
its as if my dawn is broken open

the angels sing lonely words
mute and forsaken
smoke and water
lies and horrific prophecy
pan out and observe the agony
sanctuary owns purpose
belief is broken like glass

the lost are coming home
the angels stare stunned

and so stunned, they are rendered speechless.
their throats tighten and their breath stolen
they are choking on the saint's lies
their wings are shredding and tattered
these angels screaming with their last breaths
the horrors they could wreak
from the hells below
they are fallen
and no longer free
they are the whores
to the heaven
they shall never return to

the golden gates seal shut
they shall never open for us
so st. peter laughs in our faces
the gallantly fallen angels
wish for us to perish
what heaven is there
for the ones who know no joy
i can't stand the solitude
the clouds will open
and the kingdom up above
will be naught but ours

so we take it
we wreak destruction upon paradise
we are wolves with a ravenous hunger
we are vampires with a blood lust
and we wish for redemption

we won't seek it until the end though
we won't stand for it
until our mission is fulfilled
we speak with words unspoken
we know the other's actions
through eyes and embracement

it's a witchhunt now
they're searching, but they'll never find
they're not gonna get us, they're not gonna get us
we're laughing now
as we hide in the shadows above them
we're laughing now

why?
we find humor in horror
why?
we find solace in screams
why?
we find freedom in our twisted friendship
a bond beyond blood and brotherhoods
we are...
the fallen and the broken
but we are the fighters and winners
the two of us?
yeah, we just keep on laughing

laughter is my morphine
breaking my fall the best it can
can't control the phases
in which we run rampant
our alliance, twisted as can be
its the only way we can break free
humorous pursuits make this charade
they make us
they make the shards of glass we have become

the witchhunt shall go on
for we are no wiccans
we are no mortals
we are the shade under the trees
the dark in the alley
the blackest night
we are the shadows, getting strode upon
the night is young and intends to grow
and so does our deceitful managerie

Ha Ha Ha...
We're still laughing
still got tears of mirth in our eyes
we're running through these city streets
doing as we please and then some
flowers of beautiful revolution have bloomed now
we two stand at one end
oppression of our belief at the other
we've got smirks of knowledge
they've got glares of disapproval
at which point
laughter errupts
and they are outraged

they can't touch us
they can't catch us
we're too fast
too smart
too good

we are who we are
because of them
we are who we are
because of what they've done
we are who we are
because of our pasts

we are...
the beginning of the end
