Observations

Sometimes we try to say too much without using enough words.

Recently I've been trying to take my time,

Rolling each word around in a semi-circle inside my mouth-

Trying to get the taste of it.

And when it looks just right-

It still isn't ripe enough...

and it somehow rots without your knowing...

I'm counting the teapots that dance across the screen

And wonder if any of them are filled with hyperboles...

Your laugh spills spots all over my brain

And I'm trying to recollect the taste of your smell.

The sting of your absence sends a shock up my spine

And I realize that I'm not the masochist that I wish I was...

What a pity.

Too many people plant their seeds

without ever knowing what it is their sowing.

It's sad how slowly the Earth seems to spin...

I look at the sun and shed an invisible tear or two

It's a shame what it has to put up with these days.

I'm trying to change

...if you haven't already noticed,

and it's disturbing how easily this wave rolls over me-

I'm leisurely defying the gravity of your eyes

I love how you look at me when I break your limits.

I'm an internal contradiction

Without the juxtapose

And I suppose I'm just trying to find it.
