Staying Pure

Introduction

The sound of dripping water echoes through out an abandoned cave, rhythmically one after another. This cave has not seen the feet of man or animal in 300 years, closed out to the outside world. The walls, floors and ceilings hold may stories within them, many victories and many struggles all leading to resignation or death.

Littering the floor are the bones, armor and weapons of those who fought here, of those who dies here, never to see their loved ones again and those who did survive, never to tell them of their lost.

However, this cave has also seen hope, love and new life that has been forgotten through time and battles fought. A story that can change one’s view on the words, ‘forbidden love’ that will make one wonder why this happened, why this accrued. Only three know the entire story from beginning to end. The two lovers and the cave, itself. This story will long be forgotten if it is never told, never shared, never heard. It will forever be forgotten as the water drips in the echoing silence, one after another.
