i was sitting in class a year ago and i realized that i'm never going to forget my life. i will remember the best things and the worst things. just like when my mom tells me stories from when she was a kid, i will some day tell kids of my own stories of my childhood and then maybe share it with grandkids. some day... some day... but i'll never forget.

Thanksgiving turkey, birthday party
New house, new friend
Young child’s first love, teenager’s friend
First day of school, baby bird in the tree

Smell of a new car, smell of a horse barn
Smell of a flower, smell of fresh air
Freedom of wild horses, sight of wild eagles soaring
Warmth of a fire, taste s’mores with friends
Beauty of a landscape, mystery of a graveyard
Smile of a dream, fear of a nightmare

These are the moments I’ll never forget

We all have the things, we want to never forget
We want to remember the good and forget the bad
But I know to remember all that I have seen, all I have felt
For it is the bad that makes the good all the better
From the funeral’s, to thanksgiving with my family
