this poem is very close to my heart. i babysit a little girl named kate (we call her katesie). she's about 15 months old with soft, curly light brown hair and big, innocent blue eyes.i love to hold her. she is so sweet. when she cries i hold her and sing lullabys to her to get her to stop crying. she usually just lays her head down on my shoulder and clings to me. sometimes she falls asleep. i adore kate.

Kate

Tiny little fingers
Tiny little hands
Grabbing at my neck
Tiny little tears
Tiny little fears
Holding onto me
Her head is on my shoulder
Her life is in my arms
Tiny little body
Holding to me close
Tiny little bundle of hope
Sleeping against me now
Katesie, Katesie
Listen to me sing to you
Listen to the lullaby
Don’t cry Katesie
Here’s my song for you

even if no one else likes this poem, i love it because it reminds me of Kate. so this is my poem for her. i hope someday she will read it and maybe even remember me. .
