Last Breath

You crash into me

With your lovely misery

Here to take what was mine

For the very last time

I’m finish with this

I’m done being a test

And your song is still ringing

Loudly in my ears

And I can’t keep singing

Your favorite tune

I’ll run away

‘Cause there’s nowhere to hide

I’ve let my guard down

For the very last time

Here inside my castle walls

I’m safe, finally safe

From everything that’ll kill me

But your song, that song

Is still in the air

It takes my breath

It steals my air

And unless I give in

Death will appear

Even if it’s unwelcome here

So I try so hard

To keep what’s left

And try to hold on to

This last breath
