Stained Glass Castle:
I thought of you again today,
Your image floated
Along in my mind
Bringing pain to my heart,
But happy memory to my mind
You've gone away,
And left me in desolate consolation
Remembering but aching
Life goes on, without you
Without heart in it…
You splattered color
Into my life,
Made me dream anew
But now that's no more,
I'm left here, alone on this plane
With no brilliant smiles,
No roaring laughter,
No color still here
Living in this stained glass
Castle I've built…
Letting in light
But the dark still
Creeping around the edges
But the stains have faded from
The glass, and welcoming arms
Has become a looming monster
You've gone away
And left me in desolate consolation
Remembering but aching
Life goes on, without you
Without heart in it…
So while you watch me
From the heavens,
Remember to unfurl
Your wings, and
Fly through the skies
- just once, for me
