It's not much, but I thought it was past time to continue with this. I'll attempt to get more written sometime... I'm just unsure as to when.

Sitting on the bed, Julie looked around at her surroundings. The room was large with tall windows covered by dark red curtains. The walls and floor were stone, as she assumed the rest of the building was likely to be, and candlelight cast shadows about. She still couldn't figure out how Dimitri was going to help her, if that was even what his real intentions were. Still, the girl didn't know what else she could do. In fact, she even thought that she might actually like being around him.

"Aha!" Dimitri walked over to her and put something around her neck. Julie gave him a confused look before glancing at it. It was a silver necklace with a blood red stone inside of it.

"It's a pendant. Nobody will be able to sense your presence, as long as you wear that." He glanced over toward the door. "It should keep you safe if you hide... And it will allow me to find you if need be."

"Oh..kay. What's your plan?" She gave him another confused look.

Dimitri didn't answer her question, but took her hand and started back out the door. He knew he couldn't just take her home immediately and leave her there. It had already been a few months in this realm, the human realm would have been just as many years. People there would ask too many questions, and he didn't know much about what could happen to her. Besides, the demons would only find and kill her if he didn't work it out exactly right. They wouldn't risk allowing her kind to find out. He just needed to keep her safe for now. Especially if he had to be near her during the blood moon. He wasn't exactly sure yet when it would be, but it was soon.

As they walked the halls, Julie thought back to her home. She wanted so badly to get back there, to see her friends and family again. Now was the first time she thought it might ever be possible since she was brought here. This world was so different, yet seemed so similar, to her own. She'd not been outside the room since she got there, but she had seen a few things from the window. They didn't seem to feel emotion as humans did, so it was understandable that even the most disturbing crimes wouldn't bother them. Still, it was so similar to the human realm. Julie had to wonder if this place could have been where all the horrors of the world started, or if it was even somehow a product of human wrongs.

Dimitri stopped suddenly and pulled her through a wall. They were in a confined space, probably some sort of closet or such. Julie heard people talking a few seconds later, fading away toward the direction they'd come. She felt him turn to face her. "I'm taking you with me to see a friend of mine. She should have something that may come in handy. I'll explain more after we're there." Without giving the girl a chance to respond, he pulled her back into the hallway where they reached a window. Dimitri picked her up and climbed into the window.

"What the fuck are you doing?" She nearly screeched and clung tightly to him.

He gave a half-smile. "We're going out the window."

Julie looked down to see that it was several stories high. "The hell we are! Are you out of your mind?"

"No. It's the easiest way out without anyone noticing. I don't want anyone to ask where I'm taking you." He looked at her as if she'd asked a stupid question, then took hold of her and jumped.

Once they reached the ground, he set her down and led her to a garden-maze. There, he guided her through to a tunnel and finally stopped at a dead end. Julie thought he must have been lost or wasting time, until he hugged her. "What... are you doing?"

"Nobody can detect now if I shimmer us to our destination." Before she had a chance to ask anything else, they were in a small room.

A woman who appeared to be in her early 30's looked up from her chair. "Well, I see you've finally made it."
