When I awoke, bliss
Nothing was the same anymore
The world was looking brighter
Than it ever had before

But this brightness was fake
Soon my optomism failed
When over a beautiful girl
I found myself impaled

It was a shallow thing
At best a childish crush
But being in her presence
To this day turns me to mush

And so I trundled on
With her on my mind
To the beauty around me
My crush had made me blind

Her grip on me
An unknowing possession
To free myself
I gave her my confession

She was confused by this
And just as I expected
Having just fessed up
I was rejected

It wasn't a particularly harsh blow
ChAoS is far worse than "no"
I was hurt a little bit
But I just let it go

I thought my adventure was over
And lust was left no more
I could never have anticipated
What the fates had in store
