A/N- Hello. In the spirit of Chrismas and all that crap I've decided to write a couple of chrismasy short-shorts. They're all cutesy and fluffy and slashy. They're going to be posted as updates to this story, each chapter being a different oneshot. They're all interconected. So happy holidays, and enjoy!
Warning: Slash
Kissing Santa Claus
“Danny, look it’s Santa!” screamed my little sister, Lily.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I love my sister. It’s just that sometimes, she makes me want to run away screaming bloody murder.
My parents had dropped her off at my apartment the day before, so I could spend ‘quality time’ with her. I knew the truth was that they were getting too old to keep up with their rambunctious three-year-old adopted daughter. So they dumped her on me.
Now we were standing in the middle of the overcrowded mall, waiting in line to meet an underpaid guy in a Santa suit. It was an ungodly hour to be at and all I wanted was to go back to bed, but Lily’s excitement still made me smile.
She was a cute kid, with her blond curls and wide blue eyes. People always said we looked alike, even though my eyes were green. I never bothered to tell them we weren’t biologically related, even when they thought I was her dad. If I ever had a daughter, I’d want her to be like Lily.
I held her small hand as she jumped up and down, restless at having to wait in line. I looked around me, bored. Most of the people in line were mothers with their kids and an occasional grandmother. I saw a few of them throw me some of those ‘aww’ looks. I glared back at them.
Once we got to the front of the line, Lily slipped out of my hand and rushed over to climb onto Santa’s lapped. He did that deep Santa laugh and she giggled, tugging at his fake white beard. I could see the guy panic a bit as he tried to keep his beard on.
I went ahead and paid the exorbitant amount of money for a picture, when one of the Santa’s elves started harassing me. I figured Mom and Dad would like it.
I turned back to Lily and Santa, to see her reciting her list of things when wanted for Christmas. Santa guy just nodded and uhumed.
One of the elves told her that they were going to take a picture, and she turned to me.
“Danny sit on Santa too.”
No way. I don’t love you that much kid.
“I’m too big to sit on Santa’s lap, Lily.” I told her.
This was the wrong answer. She started to tear up. I wasn’t budging though. I was not about to sit on some strange guy’s lap. Not even for her.
“Oh, c’mon Danny. You’re not going to make Lily here cry, are you?” It was Santa guy.
He was looking at me with a mischievous glint in his dark eyes. Damn you Santa for making me feel guilty. Everyone was looking at me now, accusation in their eyes.
“Come and sit on Santa’s lap.” Santa guy waved me over with a wink.
Oh, who was I kidding. I was too much of a wimp not to give in to peer pressure. Even if I did think Santa guy was making a pass at me. Next thing I knew, I was sitting on Santa guy’s lap with Lily. I could feel my face flush with humiliation as the elf took the picture. Santa guy’s hand on my back was way too low for comfort.
As soon as the flash went off I sprang off the guy’s lap and got as far away from him as I could as I waited for the picture. I heard Lily say goodbye to him and he laughed again.
“Bye Lily, and bye to you too, Danny.” I could just hear the smirk in his voice and refused to acknowledge him.
That, I thought, would be the end of that. I would just go back to my normal life, never to see of hear of Santa guy again. Little did I know…
Three days later…
I was back at the mall buying presents for my family. I was looking at some scarves for my mom when I heard a familiar voice behind me.
“You never did tell me what you wanted for Christmas, Danny.”
I flipped around and stared at the guy standing way too close to me. He was about my age. Thin and tall, with dark hair and eyes. It took me a minute to realize it was actually Santa guy, and I refused to acknowledge just how hot he was.
“It’s you” I said, glaring.
He chuckled and smiled at me. “C’mon, is that any way to talk to Santa.”
“Go away.” I turned away from him trying to hide my blush and jumped when I felt his hands on my hips.
“Come to dinner with me.” He came closer, whispering in my ear.
Was he actually asking me out? How was he so sure I was gay anyway?
“No.” I couldn’t move though. My traitorous body refused to obey me.
“Please.” His voice sent a shiver running down my spine, that I’m sure he could feel. I knew I was done for.
“I’ll wear the Santa suit.” He smiled against my ear.
“You’d better not.” What was I doing?
“Is that a yes?”
The logical part of my brain was obviously on vacation because I started thinking. Why not? He was hot, and I didn’t know him very well but he was nice to Lily, even if it was his job. And he seemed to like me. Always a plus.
“Maybe.”
“Good enough.”
With that he flipped me around and kissed me lightly on the lips. It was sweet and minty, and I smiled in spite of myself.
I was kissing Santa Claus.
The End
