Silver Tears

I lay weeping,

Sobbing silver tears

Misdeeds gone unpunished

Lay before my feet

Through the wreckage

I have torn down around me

I kick a path to my one chance at salvation

My feet seep tears of blood

So much misery

Behind one pair of jade eyes

Hidden behind fiery locks

Hoping to hide, hoping to die

Why do my emotions betray

What I cannot have

What I do not want

And yet I still long for

I close my eyes

Shutting in the silver tears

And I yearn for salvation

That I know will not come
