It’s tender and sincere.

It’s warmth and comfort.

It’s genuinely real.

It’s everything we need.

“How motherly”

exclaimed

the passersby

as they watched a young girl

brush the dirt and tears off

another who had just fallen.

“How motherly”

Can a man be so?

What is paternal

That makes it so different?

We don’t question the word

That means what we want it to;

No, we don’t question what’s easy at all.
