Pierced By Crucifix Knives

Heart-red apples

Pierced by crucifix knives

Bleed upon the cross and chapels

Change and twist our lives

Taken from our beds to kneel and pray

Useless words from sinning lips

Read from sacred scripts

We begin to preach our life away

A stone crypt

Painted in black

All battered and chipped

Is this all we get back?

Bloody and crying

After hours of birth

Screaming and dying

After seconds of mirth

Washed of thought

Changing ways

Bending what we were taught

With a blank, unwavering gaze

Hold your Bibles high

You great ugly mutts

Your words are false, your smiles wry

Covering our skin with hell’s acidic cuts

Let us not hear the knell

Let us choose!

We know we’re up against heaven and hell

This ain’t fresh news

Pierced by crucifix knives

Change and twist our lives

Useless words from sinning lips

We begin to preach our life away

A stone crypt

Painted in black

All battered and chipped

Is this all we get back?

We know we’re up against heaven and hell

With the saved or with those that fell

Paradise or fire?

Among the good people or the liars?

…Is this all we will die for?
