As I stroll through the school, I notice the different cliques:

The Preps,( a.k.a. the “all-about-me’s”)

The Jocks All bronze, no brains

The Geeks, Sorry, I mean the “Academically-Gifted ” kids All brains, no bronze

The Goths Our own Future Count Dracula’s

And the JROTC’s they’re really Patriotic and AWSOME! Caution: Very scary and Violent. If you see them, steer clear of path

I wasn’t a freshmen or anything, I was just a new kid.

Me1: Ha, Like that’s any better.

Me2: What’s wrong with being new?

Me1: Oh, nothing…If you like being stared at and talked about behind your back. Nope, nothing at all.

Me2: People are just trying to figure out who you are. It’s nothing personal.

Me1: Sure, and now you’re going to tell me Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny are real too.

Me2: Why are you so negative?! Can you just- just-

Me1: What? Be quiet?

Me2: No, SHUT UP!

Me1: Wow, that was mature of you.

Me2: Grrrr

The two me’s continue to argue in my head, back and forth, back and forth. I get so caught up in the debate, I don’t notice the person in front of me. BANG!

“Sorry, I'm such a clutz.” I apologize. Two Olive-Green eyes stare at me. We hold eye contact for about a minute.

Then, the boy gets up and storms off in a rush,“ Watch where you’re going next time! “ He shouts back at me.

New school? No problem Mom and Dad. I‘m sure I‘ll fit in just fine.” I mock myself. This was a big mistake.
