do you see that girl with the empty eyes
sorrow breaking her spirit down
she said she's fine, but it's obviously a lie
she's so lost, but doesn't want to be found.
her faith is gone along with her smile
abandoned by a friend, shattered by a boy
she may rise again after awhile
but right now she feels like a broken toy.
she walks alone not hiding a tear
and turns her music up loud
the point where she breaks is coming near
and it's not something that can be stopped now.
she's now sitting on the side
watching her friend glow
she wants to hide
but has nowhere to go.
they try and make her laugh
and distract her from the pain
she feels like her heart is missing a half
and that nothing will ever be the same.
she's easy to forgive
when it was nothing that could be helped
that's not the case with this
and her friend knows all too well.
she throws out the pictures
and lets the petals scatter
she cuts apart the bear he gave her
because now the memories don't matter.
