My Love For You

Every time I fall in love

I feel like I’m floating on air

When I hear from you

When I talk to you

Even when you’re just there

My heart races and rises to my throat

My brain stops as if you turned it off

Your kisses are like the clouds in the sky

So sweet, so gentle, so soft

When you look at me

You look so deep that you can see

That even though people think I’m mean

I’m really gentle as can be

My love for you runs deep

It runs so deep, I can’t escape

But when you leave, I suffer

My heart longs for the taste your kisses leave on my lips

My body craves the warmth you give when you hug me

I long for the way you make me feel

I long to fly into your arms and embrace you

I wait in misery for you to return to me

But when you do return

My heart races once again as we kiss and embrace

My cheeks flush, my eyes shine

When you touch my face

My body runs to win a race

To win a race that can’t be won

But when I’m with you, I cross the finish line

I run to the one that I call mine

But do you run to me?

Do you love me as I you?

This I know not

Yet you say you do

How strong is your love?

Would you do anything for me?

What if we never talk to each other again?

Is our love meant to be?

There are only three words that can describe the way I feel

These words are “I love you”

And no matter what you ever say or do

These words will always be true
