I've got your words tucked into the soles of my shoes
As I stumble through wet leaves and mud
I'm weary and cold
But your pulling me along
You've sew your hand to mine
And tonight I'll rest easy
Cliché or not, we are what we are
This is not for love
Or something sunk into depth that will twist and turn you round'
Driving you crazy
This is me thanking you
For not cutting the strings
And holding on as tight as you can
I'll rest easy tonight
Tomorrow is another day, I know
My anger will return
One way another
A stubborn button
An interrupted thought
Boil my blood
Forcing me to wrap myself into my sheets
Tying it around my neck from deadly sadness
I'll struggle
Gasping for air
Screaming the pain away
Letting the last of my life escape my lungs
You'll calmly untie the sheet
Look at me in disapproving eyes
I know, they wonder if I'll die sooner than later
If I'm a bad egg
You and I both know
I'm restless and angry
But tonight, trust that I'll sleep easy
No attempts tonight
Tonight, I'll rest easy
I'll rest heartless, as I have lent it to you, to sew and stick the missing pieces back
Pull out the black string to match the original color
Disagree and pull out red
I'll rest easy tonight
Tomorrow will be another day, I'll just make the same mistakes
Again and again, I will never change
But tonight I'll rest easy and heartless
Please fix what I have destroyed
Please end this misery
You say "Tomorrow is another day"
And I rest easy
