There is no emotion that describes the feeling of desertion
No knife sharp enough to make you experience a stab-in-the-back kind of friendship
The rain can’t have others know what it feels like to cry yourself to sleep
We can’t all fly on a plane and feel that same fear the people on the 9-11 planes felt
Or the anger towards out country that the terrorists used to commit that terrible act
Nor can feel the grief that those who lost loved ones
We use our eyes to see, our ears to hear, our hands to join, and our feet to walk
But we don’t see how other people have suffered
We do not hear the screams of the people on the planes
Or use our hands to help that friend up when they are hurt
We do use our feet to walk away, and learn that we are all just trying
I’m not sure what we are trying to achieve, or what we really do not like but I’ll use my ears to listen to your opinions, my eyes to see your point of view, my hands and feet to help carry you when you cannot walk on your own.
