This Love

Will you hold me like this?

Embrace me.
Pull me near, tangle ourselves together:
Closer. Until I feel you inhaling and exhaling.
Rise and fall. Rise and fall. Rise and fall. Rise and falling.
Each breath is soothing.
Humming me to peace like the softest lullaby.

Like a drum you beat steady.
Like a force always reminding me,
mellifluous;
of unconditional trust.
You will be there. I know that.

I love the way you hold me.
I love how you hold me gently,
tenderly;
as if I am a creature of glass.
I promise not to shatter and break. I’ll stay strong.

Just don’t drop me, ok?

Who picked me to be with someone
as breathtaking as you?
How is it possible for it ever to be this incredible?
This true?
This is true. So let’s just breathe. You and Me.

Together let’s drench ourselves in the ecstasy of simply being:
This moment
in this presence,
These people
in this world,
This love
is this amazing

That all I can do is breathe.

Release. Closer.

Gently

Embracing you.
