hé, ça va (hey, how's it going)? behold the first attempt of mine to write something slightly shounen - and perhaps darker as well. this is my beautiful brainchild: Kizu24. history on this...i thought of it fairly recently - this year, actually. i decided to combine some of my favorite things: crime-solving (from Psych), manga, French (hehe, bien sûr), and a little something called a scar. i want this to be a gigantic mystery that i will be committed to, and i hope that the story and characters are original - as always for the second part. so, let's get that icky beginning stuff out of the way, shall we? read, review, and enjoy, s'il vous plaît!

Kizu24: Bienvenue à...

Summary:

In a world where crimes are typical, and dusk is perpetual, an event of pure fortune - or misfortune - occurs. An unenthusiastic teenager with nowhere to call home and a bright prodigy with everything she wants out of her reach, team up to solve the most mystifying and extraordinary murder cases their city has ever seen. And they do it all within 24 hours.

Characters: they're certainly interesting...(also, more are to come)

Kazuki/Kizu- Sup. I'm 17, and supposedly, I'm the main character of this deal. About me...well, I don't really like to talk about myself, but I think Misty will throw me into the recycling bin if I don't share something. My parents apparently died when I was ten, and I've been considered "gifted" by my instructors at school - that isn't exactly an honor. Oh, and I don't like detectives. There, enough said.

Arisu/Bijoux- Hello, I'm Arisu and I just turned 17. Most people around the city know me as Shigero Yokoi's daughter (he's the head detective). My late mother - who was half-French and half-Japanese - was a detective as well, and she died when I was twelve. With the crime-solving blood in my family, it's only natural that I love to sneak around crime scenes, picking up clues that the "professionals" miss.

Shigero Yokoi- Shigero Yokoi, Head Detective reporting for duty tonight. I would prefer not to disclose my age, for that is of no importance until my retirement. I try my best to take care of Arisu by myself, although it turns out to be a joined effort between her and myself. In the future, I hope she pursues a career solving crimes, but I believe it is unnecessary for her to be exposed to the ugliness of the world right now.

Theme Song: original song written by me

That’s the Beauty of Having Skin

Stop plagiarizing, sympathizing

It’s not all about you

You give me a minute to explain myself

And it’s all overdue

Don’t you see? That there’s so much more

Underneath the surface

Of this story

I don’t shove it away

I bring it back like yesterday

But you refuse, those scars on you

It’s my history

The only sane part left of me

I remember every day…

Yeah I’ve got things I want to do

Now tell me, what that has to do with you

You’re taking all the life out of me

Because somehow, it just makes you breathe

I swear I think you have it all wrong, every part

Cause it’s not sinking in

For any part of you

I don’t shove it away

I bring it back like yesterday

But you refuse, those scars on you

It’s my history

The only sane part left of me

I remember every day…

Yeah, I don’t let it get away

I need to feel my blood warmed

Check every vital sign

Because for life, I don’t get a second try

I’ve got to move along broken

Partly broken…

Why do you shove it away?

And you know it hurts like yesterday

But because you refuse, those scars on you

Its just history

Don’t take it personally

But I can’t even look at you

With the way you’re scarred and bruised

You don’t have to complain to me today

Please take care of yourself, okay?

Just fix your pain

d'accord, raise your hand if you are stoked (i am!!!)! ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seatbelts and get something to snack on - because this ride probably worth preparing for. a bientôt et au revoir (see you soon and good-bye)!
