I wrote this just because. I felt like expressing the “fog of battle” in a poem, and this is the end result. I used the spaces pretty much at random so if it's hard to read, go slow. It's meant to force your eyes to dart around the page. Also, I've taken to writing really fast, with whatever word comes to mind so the poems come out more like thought than anything else.

Call goes out,

“Charge!”

Running,

All at once,

Against our foes,

Panic,

Can't stop,

Draw your sword,

Colors swirl,

Red,

Blue,

Who's who?

Can't think,

Just act,

Slash,

Run,

Panic,

Don't care,

Must survive,

Can't stop,

Doesn't matter,

Any more,

Just survive,

Blood,

Sweat,

Tears,

Everywhere,

Spears,

Knives,

Swords,

Shields,

Steel,

Bronze,

Bone,

Panic.
