Deadly Kiss

On the way home

On a cold wintry day

I got a feeling in my bones

I shouldn’t have come this way

Fearfully turn my head

Staring all around

Once there were footsteps

Now there’s no sound

Suddenly a young man steps forward

Dressed in black he stands

Big grey eyes stare intently

As he reaches out with a hand

Now I walk forward

Moving swiftly to my surprise

My eyes are held deep within his

Have I been hypnotized?

Reaching out further

He lays a hand on my shoulder

Caressing my neck

And pulling me closer

“This won’t hurt a bit”

He murmurs in my ear

Still I can’t look away

And I shiver in fear

Finding my pulse

He bites right through

The skin and the veins

And there’s nothing I can do

First comes the endless pain

Then comes the numb

The blood keeps on rushing

I just feel so stunned

He pulls away with a lurch

Crimson blood, dripping from his face

Blood still pumps through my body

My heart wants to win this race

He lays me down slowly

On the cold hard ground

My heart has stopped pumping

And my head starts to pound

I look up into the face

Of this beautiful liar

Now I knew for certain, what he was

A cruel coldhearted vampire

He takes my hand and says

“Such tasty blood, I have not tasted”

I glance up from the pool of blood I’m in

He continues “Sad to see so much wasted”

As I stare now at my pale skin

I know the end is near

He leans closer whispering

“I’ll miss your blood, my dear”

There ends my story

And I must tell you this –

You must always beware

Of a vampire’s deadly kiss.
