Chapter 2

Walking into his home, Wayne lets out a 'I am home' but as usual no answer but the wind outside. Yeah, he loved the solitude from everyone but it sucked when you get home to find you are the only person at home, most of all your days.

Sighing Wayne walks up to his room, with a swift kick, his door was wide open and there sitting on his bed was a note and some money. Not like he needed it but he could tell that the note was his parents telling him that they would be out some where with someone for the next few days. Because of this, he decides to just go out on the town and see his friends, just when he was getting ready, his phone rings.

"Hello?"

"Hey Wayne what you doing?" came his best friend's voice

"Nothing problally heading over to Karen's to see if I can get her to lay off."

"Not so great in paradise" laughs his best friend, to be honest his best friend was the only one who knew of the problems that Karen and him had. And that it was just a cover-up nothing too special.

"Yeah I suppose, but hey do you remember that one chick from Craig's party earlier this month?"

"You mean that girl you talked to for like the whole night and Karen was freaking out about?"

"Yeah, what was her name?"

"Dude, to be cruel, I am not going to tell you, be at my place asap" Click!

"Damn it! He is always like this...Always.."

Walking out of his room, he see that his step-sister is home. She walks pass him, and brushing up against him. He doesn't know why but it always seems like she is trying to impress him with her looks. Yes he knows it is creepy that his step-sister wants him.

'Yeah well...Shit comes and goes but family shit is always there...Always hitting me in the back of the head' Wayne thought as he jumps into the shower.

Letting the water hit him, Wayne lets all the day's troubles wash away with the hot water.

"Why does all this have to happen now at the end of my senior year of high school."

Finishing his shower, Wayne walks out of his bathroom and gets dressed.

"Where the fuck is my black muscle shirt, I swear Tyler steals all my shit." Laughing to himself Wayne forget about it and grabs his white one.

Flopping down on the sofa, Wayne hits the power button on his phone and watches it come alive.

"Damn it...I don't want to go to his damn party. I know she will be there..." Wayne sighs as he continues to flip through his text messages.

"BIG BRO!" came has step-brothers voice. Turning around to see where that voice came from Wayne sees Tyler jumping at him. He catches Tyler and throws him down on the couch and tickles him.

"Wayne! ha...ha...ha...stop it!...HA-HA! Stop it!"

"You shouldn't attack people like that Tyler"

"OK! OK! hehe...ha...hahaha...I wont do it again! I swear!" Stopping, Wayne sits back up and looks at his phone. Tyler stares at Wayne.

"Brother? Why does that witch always come here?"

"Who do you mean? You mean Karen?"

"Yeah, she is such a...witch but with a B" Wayne starts to laugh

"Yes she is..little bro, but she is my girlfriend so you have to be nice to her...Well for now, ok?"

"I suppose, Wayne can we go out for ice cream!?"

Laughing Wayne directs Tyler towards the car. Screaming at the top of his lungs, Tyler dives into the car, and puts on his selt belt.

"Crazy kid, dont hurt my car!" Wayne yells but is thinking 'Some days I wish I could be that young again, not a care in the world.'

A short drive and a long lecture on how Karen isn't nice, by Tyler, they arrive at their destination.

"Two cones please!"

"One twist and the other chocolate"

"Yuck!"

"What you don't like twist?"

"No it is disgusting, chocolate and vanilla don't mix!" Tyler shoves some of his cone in his mouth.

Laughing, Wayne looked over at the benches and sitting there is the girl from that party. Seeing Wayne stare, Tyler rushes over, faster then Wayne could stop him and starts to talk to the girl. Walking over Wayne gives Tyler a stern stare.

"Hello, sorry if my brother was bothering you."

"No, he wasn't, actually he was telling me I should go out with you." laughing the girl stands up and kisses Wayne's cheek, "The funny part is I would, because of that night at Craig's."

Staring at her, Wayne got a flashback of that night, before Wayne could do anything he was tackled to the ground.

"Fucker! Get off my girl! I am going to kill...y..." The guy didn't get the last words out as Wayne threw a punch at his jaw. The guy fell off and Wayne stood up, and looks at the guy. Not very big but has some muscles.

"Nice punch but you should have hit harder, because that is the last you are going to be throwing." The guy says as he is on his hands and knees.

Sighing on how he gets himself into this crap, Wayne walks over to the guy and kicks the kid across the face just enough to knock him out.

"Gods I hate punks."

Looking over at the girl, and staring into her eyes, they seem change into a maroon color as she started to breathe hard.

"Sorry about that, he was annoying, and getting in my way of talking to you. What is your name?"

Calming herself, she answers with, "It is Sapphire, And yours?"

"It is Wayne"

"Well Wayne, are we going to that party or not?"

"HEY! Where am I going to go?" Tyler whines as he finishes his ice cream cone.

"Home little one, you have school tomorrow." Wayne teases Tyler.

"NOPE! Mother said for me to watch you this weekend!"

"Shit!"

Laughing, all three of them, walk over to Wayne's car. Helping Tyler into his seat so he doesnt spill any of his ice cream, Wayne slips over and falls on his shoulder.

"Wayne? you ok?" Sapphire asks.

"Yeah...I am fine but i lost your ice cream bud."

"It is ok...You can buy me another one!" Tyler jumps up and down. Laughing Wayne walks back over and buys another chocolate ice cream. As he is walking back Sapphire walks up to him.

"Wayne...do you remember that nght at Craig's?"

"YEs why?"

"Who was that girl that was always trying to pull you away from me?"

"No one...she was just trying to wreck my life like she did before."

Walking up to the car, Wayne sees that Tyler is passed out and sleeping.

"Poor guy. Never seems to get enough sleep."

A long boring drive with Tyler snoring and Sapphire talking about her family

"This is your house?" Sapphire asks

"Yeah...our parents work a lot so we get to have this house. To be honest I wish it was smaller. For Tyler's sake, he needs them around more often"

"Wayne why do I have to stay here?" Tyler pouts and stomps up the stairs.

Wayne looks up and stares at the sky and how there are not clouds and the moon was bright and orange tonite. Taking in a breathe of cold fresh air, Wayne walks up and Tyler, picks him up and carries him over his shoulder into the house.

"LET ME GO!! WAYNE!! DON'T!" Tyler screams as Wayne carries him through the house and through his screen door and throws Tyler into the pool.

Laughing Wayne throws off his shirt and dives in to help Tyler. Tyler screams at him and tries to dunk Wayne. While Sapphire is laughing, She sits on the side and watches.

"Well we are goin to be late for this party. Ohh well...at least I am with him." Sapphire states as she laughs at the two brothers.

Well there is the second chapter...so her name is decided, I wonder what could be Wayne's thoughts. And OHHH Party?! I wonder what could happen there? Nothing good or nothing bad. I guess you have to wait and see. LOL Anyways R&R!
