I'm trying.

Its just so hard to care,

so hard to just forget everything

Remember im just like you, I hold grudges

Its hard to trust (a g a i n)

I know he's changed now

And he’s got a really good girlfriend

But its just sooo hard

I want to be close to him,

But...

I just can't.

He's been gone so long,

I don't need a dad.

I've gone almost sixteen years with out one,

I think I'm good.

Its hard to forget what he's (not)done.

I can talk to her s o m e w h a t.

But...

You know how I am around strangers

He's my "father"

She's his girlfriend

Both complete strangers.
