Writing

I don't write because its fun
I don't write because I want to

I write because the words build up
Inside my heart and in my mind
Never spilling forth from locked lips
That seem to get tied

I write because the image in my head
Come to life and need to be seen
So that my sanity is kept intact
Even if my heart isn't

I write because the lines are my soul
Screaming to be seen and heard
So that I won't rot and die inside
In a world that never listens
