A/N: This is a poem where I’m trying to convey how much I love and rely on my best friend, and what a source of strength she’s been to me lately.

Life Support

I think I’m fading
Falling fast
(I’m falling, falling)
And I need someone to help me
I need air
Oxygen

But you caught me
And when I breathe
I breathe you
Live off you
Your love
Your kindness
Your vibrancy
(Live vicariously
through you
)

And thank you for it
For being my friend
And being my anchor
To the real
And the solid
And the good
And thank you for not letting me
Drown in my sickness
And thank you for being
So wonderful
And even though you’re not always there
Just the thought of you
Is such a comfort
(Because I can see you in my head, and you drown Her and you stop Her taking over)
So thank you

I’m crap at saying it
I dislike being in someone’s debt
But even though you don’t realise
You’re saving my life
(My thoughts and my being and my self)
Every second you exist

And I know I’m not through this
I’m still sick
But you help
You make it better
You make me feel normal
And you help me breathe
(My oxygen tank,
My life support machine
)
And while it’s not over
You make me see the light
At the end of the tunnel
And I stop flailing alone in darkness

Because I was fading
Falling fast
(I’m falling, falling)
And I needed someone to help me
I needed air
Oxygen
And I have you
(I feel better now)

A/N: Yet another fun, cheery little poem. I’m really on a roll lately. Now go review.
