Like with "Reunion", I might be writing a complete story about this too. But I'm leaving it until much later, when my writing style has gotten better. So, can you help me improve with constructive crtisicsm?

PS: Did I spell the last word right?

FOREVER AND ALWAYS

A boy lay sprawled in the middle of an enormous room. The room had a high ceiling and many balconies dotted the marble walls. These were always shrouded in darkness. You could never tell what might be lurking there.

Footsteps sounded as a tall man walked over to the fallen body of the boy. He stared down at the boy, and sneered in contempt, the expression twisting his gruesome features, making them more menacing than they already were. “Give up yet?” he asked the boy “You are going to die if this keeps up, you know. In fact, I’d be surprised if you’re not already dead.” No answer. The man continued to smirk.” Come along now. You’ll join us sooner or later. Either by force or by will. Don’t you think that the latter would be better, for both you and me?”

“No.” the word, although said softly, rang with determination and firmness. The man glanced at the boy, taken aback. “What did you say?” The boy’s right index finger twitched “ No.” As the man watched, surprise on his face, the boy dragged himself up on one knee, his head down, panting. “You still resist? You are more foolish, more stubborn than I thought. You cannot fight me any longer. Why not do the right thing and give up?” he said, bending down towards the boy.” I will never do that. Never!” said the boy, lifting his head to reveal dried blood, bruises and most of all, hate on his youngish features, that now looked twisted by pain. He continued, more softly. “Because… it…isn’t the right thing… to do.” His eyes flashed and a fire began to glow around his body, a white, dancing fire.

He stood up, the white fire still encasing him. The man took a step back. “What… what do you think you’re doing?” “I’m destroying you.” The boy’s voice was quiet, calm, yet ringing with certainty. He would do as he said. Oh yes, he would.

Realizing this, the man turned and bolted. But the boy only lifted a hand, one single hand, and an unseen force wrapped around him, forcing him to stay where he was. Cold sweat began to run down the man’s face, as he waited for death. It wasn’t too far away.

The boy stretched his fingers, just a little, and… white flames shot from his fingertips. The flames engulfed the man. He died screaming, trapped in agonizing pain till the last seconds of his life.

For a long time afterwards, the boy stood still, staring at the heap of ashes on the floor. It had not been his first killing, nor would it be his last. He sighed and whispered to the darkness around him. “When will it ever stop?” No answer, of course. So, he muttered the answer to himself. “Not ever.” As long as he lived, as long as people knew he lived, he would be hunted, forever and always. And, he would have to continue killing, forever and always. Forever and always. Forever and always. The finality of those three words suffocated him. Forever and always.

He disappeared into the darkness. He, Kii Jeikin, would be hunted. Forever and always.
